December 26, 2010 Dear Shi-Yang Lin and friends of T.C.C.C. of N.A. I am happy to learn about your activities in the U.S. as a Taiwanese Church and was so surprised to receive your generous gift and Thank you and God bless you richly with His gifts of love and peace and joy! My later husband, Verney Unruh and I spent nine years in Taiwan, mostly on the east coast in Hualien, under the general conference of Mennonites (now known as Mennonite Mission Network). We retired and returned to N.A. in 1988, so it’s been over 20 years since we were in Taiwan. In the area I live in, there are several retired Taiwan missionaries and we try to get together bi-monthly to remember in prayer our churches and friends in Taiwan. I live in a retirement village where my husband and I moved to 7 years ago. Since then, the Lord called my husband to his heavenly home. I’m grateful that I have been able to continue living independently in this sheltered, comfortable community. I still try to be active in my church and community. I enjoy having friends of many years and co-workers also living here. May the Lord bless you and in your continued ministry and in your personal lives this coming year and always. In Christian Love, Belva Unruh |
