宋德理牧師夫婦 2008年請安函

Dear Mr. Lim;

How grateful we are to hear from you and the TCCCNA each year, and to receive your most generous gift. We are delighted at your thoughtfulness and kindness in this season of Peace and Reconciliation. Our relationship with the Taiwanese Christian Church is a valued and nourishing part of our faith journey and we are deeply thankful for God's providence in bringing us together.

You may know that Susan and I - along with our daughter Tara (who was born in Taiwan 1975) and her husband, and three others visited Taiwan last year. We were the guests of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT) and enjoyed a wonderful tour of the island.

The hospitality extended to us was warm and most generous. We visited schools, hospitals, seminaries and several aboriginal church congregations. We met with Andrew Chang - General Secretary, Sidney Chang (from Canada!), Stephen Hsu (our host - and a wonderful guide and friend), Carys Humphreys (from England), Lydia Ma (church press), Joyce Shih (general assembly office), and many others who were gracious and helpful. We look forward to many years of ministry together in the light of God's guidance.

Our personal friend and colleague - Rev. Murray Garvin - continues to live and teach at Yu Shan seminary; we are on close contact with him and indeed, our prayers continue for Taiwan and it's democratic future.

Thank you again for your continuing love and support....

....brothers and sisters in Christ...

Sincerely,

(Rev) Terry Samuel;宋徳理
