30th. December 2011

Dear Lim Bok-su,

Kathleen Moody.

Dear Lim Bok-su,

Your Christmas letter and gift arrived yesterday and so once more, I write to express my deep appreciation and thanks to you and to Taiwanese friends in the U.S.A. It is so very kind and generous of you all to remember me in this way and your friendship means so much to me.

I rejoice to hear news of our church in Taiwan and I do pray both for friends there and in the U.S.A. Especially at present I think of everyone in Taiwan and most of all for the presidential candidate, Dr. Tsai. She would be such a wonderful leader and she needs all our Support. I hear that the election has been moved forward to 14 January though it was originally to be in March. I hold you all in my mind and heart and I do deeply care for the future of our beloved island.

My own news is limited - at almost 92 years of age I do still live on my own but I have a lot of help from neighbors. I think I will have told you that I have Angina and Parkinson Disease and now another health problem has been added - Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia - but that is not serious and I have very good care from my doctor. I am not as active as I used to be but I do go out each day and I am a Reader at church.

My family are living in various places -Montreal, Boston and Hong Kong - but they and I keep in touch by telephone. We have two new members of the family – Leyla who is nearly 3, and Ethan who is almost one. I am their Great-Great-Aunt and I have learned how to explain that in Taiwanese- Ko'-Po- Cho. Also my Great-Nephew was Married this year and his wife• is Chinese but grew up in Montreal, in fact they met at university there. They are now in Hong Kong.

Again my sincere thanks to everyone in the TCCCNA

With all best wishes,

Kathleen Moody.
